Construction began 12-26-04

 

At Florida Jets 2006, winner of the "Best military runner up" award.

At takeoff

A slow fly by with full flap, speed breaks, gear, and landing lights out.

Day 20

The wings where prepped and primed today.  Looking good!

Day 21

The wings where sanded, any low spots filled.  The left wing has been finished up. 

It is fitted to the fuse and ready for it's last coat of primer. 

The control surfaces are finished and ready for resin.

Day 22

Wings are being prepped for primer.  All ailerons and flaps fit great.  Both wings are blended to the fuse.

Day 23

Many details were added.  All of the vents were added or cut into the fuse.  The guns have been started but not yet finished.  Here are the photos of the aluminum vents I have added.  Also check out the clear lens that will cover a led on the back of the sliding canopy.

The detail as it comes from the mold.

Cut out using Dremel.

Check fit of tubing.

Rough cut tubing.

CA in place, and sand. Use tape as a guide.

Ready for filler.

Apply filler and scuff before fully cured.

block sand with 180.

here you can see at least four vents.

The custom lens. There will be a LED in there eventally.
